“I feel like cryin’, ain’t got no tears to spare” — Mattie Delaney
This sounds great, but tempt me not with more box sets!
I know, it's just terrible innit. Lucky most of these came along before I began to resemble this Skip James lyric: "Because I'm a poor man, but I'm a good man, you understand." More from my recent trawl through the Sun blues catalog soon. . . .
Box sets - can't think of a better reason to have to tighten the ol' belt, Frank.Really enjoyed this track, and hadn't heard it before. (In fact, I think I've only got one Charley Booker song to my name - must pick up an itunes card soon!)
Charley Booker is great isn't he? Rough and tumble, ready to rumble. Wish he had recorded more . . . I like his Sun recordings the best I think.
