  1. I really like the Alfred Karnes songs that I've heard. His singing and guitar playing transmit a sincerity that is so appealing. The Bristol Sessions is an indispensable box, don't you think?

    By the way, what happened with your link the other day? It spooked me a little because clicking on it took me back to my own dashboard.

    1. All of Karnes' recordings (there are not that many) are worthy and this one has become a particular favorite. In the mid-60s the only one that saw reissue was "I Am Bound For The Promised Land" and as good as his other records are, I don't think he ever surpassed that one, recorded at the initial Bristol sessions in 1927.

      I don't know about the links. I had a strange one the other with Rev. A. Johnson.
